In recognition of World Mosquito Day on August 20, MVCAC member Luz Robles with Sacramento-Yolo MVCD appeared on Studio 40 on Fox40 to discuss the vital role mosquito control plays in protecting public health.
During the segment, Luz addressed the global impact of mosquitoes and the diseases they transmit, current conditions in California—including increasing West Nile virus activity—and the importance of simple precautions to prevent mosquito bites.
