| Job Description: | Vector Control Technician I Department: Operations Pay Rate: $18.60 – $28.83 Hourly, Anticipated starting rate, $19.36 Employment Classification: Full-time, Seasonal, Non-Exempt Opening Date: April 2, 2026 Closing: Applications will be accepted through April 17th and will remain open until all positions are filled, so early submission is encouraged BASIC FUNCTIONS: Under supervision, to perform routine assignments in preventing and controlling mosquitoes and other vectors within a specified zone; to perform related operations in a vector control district; and to perform related work as required. RELATIONSHIP: The Vector Control Technician I reports to the Director of Operations or designee. CLASS CHARACTERISTICS The Vector Control Technician I is a seasonal position carrying out assignments, the details of which have been planned and organized by persons working at a higher level. These assignments may include working individually or as part of a vector control crew, abating, designated sources, making routine arthropod identifications and counts as instructed, and performing general unskilled labor in source reduction and “housekeeping” activities. |
