Keynote Speaker: Cheryl Stroud, DVM, PhD

We are thrilled to announce Cheryl Stroud, Executive Director of the One Health Commission (OHC), as our plenary speaker! Dr. Stroud, a veterinarian with a PhD in endocrine physiology, brings decades of experience in industry, academia, private practice, and One Health advocacy.

For over 11 years, Dr. Stroud has led the OHC, a globally recognized non-profit dedicated to connecting One Health stakeholders, fostering interdisciplinary teams, and educating communities worldwide. Her leadership has driven initiatives like:

  • Bat Rabies Education Team (BRET)
  • One Health Social Sciences Initiative (OHSS)
  • One Health Education-US (OHE-US)
  • Gregory D Bossart Memorial Scholarship
  • Global One Health Day, celebrating its 10th anniversary on November 3, 2026
  • The Who’s Who Map (view here), showcasing organizations worldwide that champion One Health principles

Dr. Stroud’s keynote will explore how collaboration can amplify One Health efforts, making it the default approach for addressing global health challenges. Expect an inspiring call to action to become force multipliers in vector control and beyond.

5k Volunteers Needed

Conference planning is underway for 2026 and we are in need of a volunteer to join our committee! Awesome energy is needed to help make our “Outrunning Mosquitoes” race a swat-tastic success. This volunteer is essential for the day of the event to help direct runners, keep time and make sure we have enough volunteers on the course. You are a vital part of this fun and unique event.
