Seasonal Project Coordinator and Analyst Internship, Alameda County MAD

Description: The Seasonal Project Coordinator and Analyst at Alameda County MAD is primarily responsible for coordinating the District’s unmaintained swimming pool assessment and response program. Unmaintained swimming pools can produce thousands of mosquitoes each day that can transmit diseases such as West Nile virus to people in the community.  The purpose of this program is to motivate homeowners to return their swimming pool to a maintained condition so that they do not produce mosquitoes.  The Seasonal Project Coordinator and Analyst will assist with: (1) locating unmaintained swimming pools using aerial imagery and artificial intelligence, (2) notifying homeowners of the health risks associated with unmaintained swimming pools and the need to return the swimming pool to a maintained condition, (3) monitoring the swimming pool clean up progress, (4) analyze the cost and impact of the program.  Multilingual proficiency is desired, but not required.
