PUBLIC HEARING HELD ON PESTICIDE PERMIT TOXICITY STUDY DESIGN
Yesterday, the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) staff held a public hearing on the proposed Pesticide Permits Toxicity Study Design that the Board approved earlier this year. MVCAC and URS representatives were both in attendance. Download the handout. In addition to the presentation, there was an active Q & A on the study design. The staff reported that their timeline was to begin gathering samples in the summer/fall of 2011 and into spring/summer of 2012. The attendees requested the SWRCB staff consider sharing regular updates on how the study was proceeding to allow for input prior to staff’s report out to the SWRCB in late 2012.
