June 21, 2011 – H.R. 872 Passed Out of Committee

MVCAC just received news that H.R. 872, “Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act of 2011,” today, passed out of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry on a voice vote with only two Senators opposing the bill.

H.R. 872 will now go to the full Senate floor for a vote. Discussions are already taking place with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (NV) and Senator Debbie Stabenow (MI) on when this vote will take place. MVCAC will continue to update our members on the status of this bill.

Thank you for all of your support to date on H.R. 872 – we may need you to make one last effort to secure passage out of the Senate.
